About 60% of Instagram and Twitter users use multiple accounts

“Mobile & Social Media Monthly Fixed Point Survey (January 2020)”

This survey targeted 1,100 men and women between the ages of 17 and 69.

Summary of survey results:

About 60% of Instagram and Twitter users have multiple accounts
Of the people who have accounts on both Twitter and Instagram, 55.9% had “multiple accounts on Twitter” and 42.4% had “multiple accounts on Instagram”.
In addition, 40.0% of the respondents answered that they did not have multiple accounts in any of them, so it was found that 60.0% answered that they have multiple accounts in either or both. When asked about the number of accounts that have “multiple accounts on Twitter”, “2” was the largest (48.4%), followed by “5 or more” (20.5%).
Even among those who have multiple accounts on Instagram, “2” is the most common (55.6%), followed by “3” (16.7%).
